Security Consultant

Job Description

Lions Gate is looking to build capacity in its security risk management team. If successful you will be joining a very experienced group of risk professionals. We are specifically looking for BC licensed security consultants with the skills, knowledge and abilities to hit the ground running. Candidates who may be asked to take on contract work and complete assessments for a high-volume province wide client. Any offer of contract work leading to employment will be contingent on the contract mentioned above materializing.

This is an outstanding opportunity for security consultants and security risk assessors who can meet the criteria in the published job description, and successfully interview. If you are successful in interview, you will be required to undertake and successfully pass a training course and assessment.

FUNCTION

Is to support the Lions Gate vision to become the leading security and risk management provider and mission to undertake security risk assessments for clients. This achieved under the direction of the Lions Gate Vice President Risk Management & Community Safety and with the application of required knowledge, abilities, and skills.

TRAINING

Successful uptake of the position will require successful completion of a training course.

RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Developing risk assessment business
  • Managing client registration and documentation
  • Delivering to project schedules and timelines
  • Undertaking physical assessments
  • Conducting client interviews
  • Undertaking neighbourhood audits
  • Collecting all data required for assessment reports
  • Secure storage of all client data
  • Writing assessment reports
  • Undertaking special projects as required

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Broad security background desirable
  • Security related qualifications – CPP – PSP or comparable
  • Experience conducting risk assessments
  • Existing portfolio of risk work
  • CPTED background desirable
  • Project Management Experience
  • Good Computer Skills
  • Good Interpersonal and interviewing skills
  • Good report writing skills
  • Good presentational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Ability to operate effectively without direct supervision
  • Holder of current BC Security Consultants License
  • Current Class 5 Driving License
  • Must be prepared to travel
  • Can achieve federal security reliability clearance
